I um, gotted the S3 soundtrack with half my last amazon gift certificate, and according to the liner notes it is indeed the themesong! I will listen while doing homework tonight and see!

It's on more or less the same theme, just with a bit more reincarnation and getting high on the universe mixed in. :D I did consider Richie Valens, but a) I can't stand that style of rock-n-roll, b) I was trying to stay away from things that were *just* love songs, and c) the Hair one is the one that's been stuck in *my* head ever since the season started.

RE: Kiss From A Rose: if I was going for cheap "oh no rose is gone" angst I'd just skip right to John Barrowman singing My Love Is Like A Red, Red Rose. Also Ten is not Batman, no matter what he wishes. :P

If I was going to swap out the rose song I'd probably go with A Rose In the Wind (http://www.lyricsfreak.com/a/anggun/a+rose+in+the+wind_20007949.html). It's not like there's any shortage of songs with Rose in the title. Luckily, I am immune to cheap Rose angst. (I still want a bad Rose vid to "My Heart Will Go On".)

Aztecs was much less suck than Unearthly Child, but THE DOCTOR ACCIDENTALLY GETS ENGAGED BY DRINKING COCOA, and HE GETS ROSE TO DRINK COCOA IN MY STORY, AND THAT CAN'T HAPPEN, OKAY?????

I think he's going to explicitly ignore it, because that's just like him, and anyway there's 1000 years between the cultures, so whatev. BUT STILL.
