The Sound of Drums Fanmix

Okay, I have finally posted the Doctor Who "Sound of Drums" fanmix that's only been in the works for oh, six months or so.

It's up at [journalfen.net profile] fan_mix : Revolution Just For Fun, and also at the best_enemies community on LJ (with bonus material.)

Hooray!

(The John Sheppard mini-fanmix I posted awhile back -- World Spinning Round, featuring the world's only known Surf Rap track -- is still up for download, btw, but I'll probably take it down whenever I get my next fanmix up. And I have no idea when that will be, since I seem to generate Doctor Who playlists like the cats generate sheddings, but then take forever on the associated stuff.)

Oooh, shiny! I was hoping you'd post this soon! I like the compass rose. XD

Is excellent compass rose. :D

(There is something odd about the Gnarls Barkley song - it takes up over 15 minutes of the total-run-time-count, but it is actually only about 3ish minutes ... ???

Maybe if you find an uncorrupted version the bonus track will fit?

... I know, I know, you're supposed to be done futzing with this mix ...)

I am done futzing with the mix!

The Gnarls Barkley song used to do that for me, but it never interfered with playback. And it seems to fix itself on my computer, so I'm sure it only counted as 3 min when I did the calculations for fitting on CD.

... it doesn't seem to interfere with playback if I let just it go straight through, but if I futz with it at all - like if I skip ahead in the song to see if it ends correctly - it hits the 3 minute mark, hangs, gets confused, and skips to the next song.

It seems to - not be marking time correctly? Because it's really only 2:57 or 3:00 or so? But when I skip ahead in the song, when it gets to 3 minutes and hangs, it's still trying to play somewhere in the middle of the song. IT'S CRAZY.

I'll double-check the play time for the whole list in iTunes when I get home, and maybe I'll rip the song off the CD you burnt me a while back and if a ripped mp3 has the same issue ..

Welp, I have ripped a new mp3 and it says it is 3:03, so I am now satisfied! If you/anyone wants it I can upload.

Total time is now 1:20:31, so yeah, still too long. (It was showing 1:32:something before, though.)
