(I also may have gotten inappropriately passionate in the evidence post about why space robot fandom cannot be neatly categorized as Anthropomorphism or RPF because that is an inappropriate place to make a judgement call about the edges of personhood.)

I would think Rosetta etc. would be under space vehicles fandom? Is that what you were arguing against?

I was basically arguing in favor of not separating out space vehicles vs. space anthro vs. space RPF, which has happened in previous years, because they aren't really three separate fandoms - like, if someone wants to nom Alan Stern/New Horizons/Pluto, that should not be made artificially hard because we're trying to separate space fandom into artificial categories that don't work for it.

Mind you, I have no evidence that the planets have been nommed separately, so it may be irrelevant anyway, but we've had planetary anthro kept separate from space vehicles rpf in the past.

And also that space vehicles is def. rpf and not anthro because the mars landers are people. :P
