Wolves!

So it's almost February! How time flies when you haven't done any fiction writing since Yuletide.

Also I think my first-half-of-February book display at work is going to be wolves and werewolves. I was going to do books about how it's okay to be single and you shouldn't feel pressure to find The One, but - and I don't know why I was surprised by this - we don't have enough books in the library system to do a display on that.

So wolves it is. I even put A Companion to Wolves on hold to use in the display. Maybe I'll actually read it first, even.

So hey, if I were to write something about wolves this February, completely for no reason at all except to jumpstart my writing again, OR even for this year's Psychic Wolves for Lupercalia fest, what should I write?

Hogan's Heroes. Wow, that takes me back to after-school afternoons watching reruns of old TV. I used to love that show.

I actually didn't watch any of it when I was young, but I started watching it on youtube a few years back, and I must have read the original book of The Great Escape about ten times as a teenager (which was only slightly less ridiculous.) The logistics of wolfbrothers in a theoretically-abiding-by-the-rules-of-war WWII POW camp get really interesting really fast. Even if you don't factor in secretly running a resistance network.

I was wondering if it was connected, even though I was VERY CAREFUL not to pressure you in the post. :P This is a really good time of year for me to have a silly no-pressure fest to motivate me, so I will probably keep doing it forever even if y'all give up on the official posts. ^_^

I have no idea what I would do for FW! But I'm pretty sure I could come up with something.

(Actually what I really want is to do the sequel to your one where Esca is a werewolf, in which they adopt Cub. But I guess that doesn't technically count for Lupercalia fest.)

(Someone needs to write the Eot9 story where Marcus's wolfbrother was killed in the same moment as Cradoc, and Cub is Esca and his uncle's best try to make that wound better. But I don't hate joy enough to write it myself.)
