I am backreading old fic in my tags (partly to procrastinate actually finishing any more, partly because I'm thinking about finally putting together an AO3 anthology of scraps too small to go anywhere else, partly because I am masochistically collecting old bunnies I could write the first 1700 words of if I make my October goal^**).

And I just want to say that if anybody felt like posting their translation of Oolon Colluphid was Right somewhere I could see it, it would make my weekend. ^_^

This one seems to me like it would be so fascinating, and fun, and also could only be written by someone who has done research into queer culture of the 30s and 40s, and there are very few people who have done sufficient research, so I will always want more fic from you as one of those people doing anything related to Steve and queer themes.

You know, I never thought of this premise but it could be AWESOME. There are some people (such as Mary Poppins--the carpetbag!), where things make so much more sense if they are Time Lords.

No, I am glad to hear! The drag ball one seems to be a hit. (I think people are vastly overestimating the amount of research I have at my fingertips there, though.)

I think Steve/Betty would be a little bit of bittersweet, a lot of trolling, with a garnish of Steve learning things about sex he didn't even know he didn't know. :P I mostly want Steve to date someone his own age, and I feel like Betty White would be up to it. She was a USO girl in Hollywood during the war, iirc, so they could have even known each other before! (There's actually a reference to it in my Bruce Banner fic, when they mention Steve's scary girlfriend it's hinted to be Betty, though it was a very subtle hint.)

and Ray is a Time Lord is just... really necessary, and works weirdly well, although there's some backstory stuff that takes explaining, although the car being a functioning TARDIS helps. (So does "Stella was married to Vecchio, okay, and we just didn't have chemistry anymore after I regenerated, and it SUCKS.")

No, I think it's more a reflection of the pitiful amount of research (and aptitude for it) that 99.99% of other fic writers have access to.
