jadelennox is running invisible_ficathon!!! Yes, it's true, finally the fest we were all waiting for, the exchange for fanfic about those fandoms that don't actually exist! I'M SO EXCITED.

It's running more-or-less by Yuletide rules, I think, so it's currently in nominations. You should all go nominate! I haven't yet because I'm still trying to come up with my list. Current list:

You should all go nominate too! You can nominate without writing (although you should write too) and I kind of want this tag set to be as large as possible. :D

I was going to nominate The Swordsman Whose Name Was Not Death (characters: Tyrian, Fabian, Stella, Mangrove), a Novel by a Lady of Quality inset in Ellen Kushner's The Privilege of the Sword. But apparently, and pleasingly, someone else has thought of it already!

If anyone decides to write it, they should know there's a canon genderswap theater performance where a female actress plays the dashing swordsman Tyrian and kisses the beautiful Stella... and Ellen Kushner herself suggests this picture of a woman in black leather drag holding a gowned woman's neck as the genderswap theater version.

Hogwarts a History is already nominated! I am not sure I'll offer/request that - I have no idea what the "fandom" for that would be like - but I am intrigued. (Also by Red Arrow/Red Lantern!) I'd rather see King in Yellow fic than Al-Azif I think, but Al-Azif would also be good. ^_^

Oooh, I'd forgotten that one! HBT would make an excellent nomination!

I have a great love of fictional scriptures. Not sure how well they'd convert to fic, but I'll try to come up with a list anyway, and nominate at least a few of them. Messiah's Handbook, maybe. (I think that's the name. I'll have to look it up.) There's also a couple of texts mentioned in Dune which I don't remember the details of and therefore don't know well enough to even nominate.

And of course, there's the Hitch-Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy, which I could kick myself for forgetting; I was reminded by this blog post. And the entire Kilgore Trout collection.

It's harder to find lists of tv shows or movies. (ETA: the Teela O'Malley vidcasts.)

Is Messiah's Handbook the one from Richard Bach's ouvre? I saw that one on the wikipedia lists that are linked in the noms post and considered it, but it's been ages since I've re-read any of his books other than JLS.

Also, Wendy! I once wrote 'The TV is showing a rerun of Wendy the Werewolf Stalker, so Kon turns up the volume. It's a good one, the one where Wendy's dad dates a woman who everyone thinks is a werewolf, but it turns out she's really just Norwegian' and I remain proud of it. (Actually, possibly that bit is Zee's.)
