(no subject)

So I am currently at [livejournal.com profile] stellar_dust's apartment, where I will be flat-sitting with her spoilt cat until probably Tuesday morning, when she gets back from Texas.

Things I would like to get done while on my four-day vacation into Grown-Up Land:

1.) Go to the massive Loudoun County Used Book Sale, this weekend only.
2.) Go on a day hike along the C&O canal trail, just to test conditions (and conditioning), while Mom isn't here to be a wet blanket.
3.) Vid something.
4.) Update the X-Files [livejournal.com profile] newbieguide.
5.) Write fic. Get ahead on schoolwork. Apply for internship. Fix lj layout. Finish sewing project. Update fic archives.
6.) --? I know there was something else, but I can't for the life of me remember what. Oh well, I'm sure it'll come to me.

I might get three of those done if I'm lucky ...

In re: #3: For this weekend only, I am taking fanvid requests. Some of you must have ideas you've been wanting to see for months; I know I did, until the con.txt vid show blew them all away. Sister's collection has - SG-1, SGA, BSG, Boston Legal, Buffy, Angel, X-files, The Librarian: Quest For The Spear, Harry Potter 1-3, Star Wars 4-6 and Clone Wars; umm... Indiana Jones, The Princess Bride, possibly some other stuff... If somebody on my flist doesn't give me a better idea by Sunday, I'll probably end up doing Mulder/Krycek "Hit Me Baby One More Time". Just so you have incentive.

Interesting how Used book sales, hiking, and vidding each get their own entries in the "Grown-Up Land" itinerary, while Writing, schoolwork, internships, and other productive things all get grouped into one. xD

But yeah. Freezepop's Science Genius Girl with Scully would be the only thing that springs to mind, although it's not a great fit. Oh well.

Well, those are the things that have to get done this weekend if they're going to be done at all. The others are "ongoing", see.

Oh! :D

Something with Goa'uld in it? :)

Give me a Goa'uldy song and I totally will. I know I had some ideas for that, but the only one I can remember now that I want to is Klorel / Dr. Worm, which, ah.

Have you seen Party Down (http://www.azonia.net/sg/sg_bottom.htm)? One of the vids I watch over and over. Apophis = so very hot.

OMG *flails* You're going to be so sorry you asked.

Right now I'm really feeling SGA "Allies" to White Wedding, or general . . . um, team hotness, to Donna Summer's Hot Stuff (mostly because of the dialing numbers bits, and the "wanna bring a wild man back home" bit) it's possible that it could be Chuck-->team. Maybe.

Or Rodney? To Rihanna's SOS? Because bouncy peppy Caribbean = grumpy Canadian.

I have to think about Indy, though. That would ROCK.

Well, I've been wanting to vid "Michael" to Hotel California for awhile, so you're not the only one. I think I want to wait on any "Allies" stuff until we find out how the cliffhangers resolve, though.

"General Team Hotness" would be more than a weekend's work, I fear. There's a lot of clips to go through there.

SOS - Rodney/John or Rodney/Atlantis? :D I don't think I've ever heard that song, though.

Indy does in fact rock.

[identity profile] siegeofangels.livejournal.com 2006-06-24 12:39 am (UTC)(link)
Now that I thought about it (a lot on the way to work), Hot Stuff would make an amazing meta-vid, like fangirl/SciFiFriday, which would be even more labor-intensive and not really weekend work. So.

SOS . . . okay, half the time I think it's Rodney/John, and half the time I think it's Rodney/Hallucination!Sam. Possibly both? It's a clubbish song, with a lot of chorus repetition, so it'd be quite easy to cut down if needed; you can stream it here (http://www6.defjam.com/site/artist_av.php?artist_id=586). I should just buy the thing already.

Indy could rock to the tune of School's Out or Welcome to the Jungle, or possibly Girls Just Want to Have Fun, in a The Women of . . . sort of way.

What happened to So Typically Twink, I Think? Not digital?

Dude! Rainbow Brite! What happened to it is that I totally forgot it existed. Dude.

(They are digital - the whole soundtrack is downloadable at Rainbow Land (http://www.rainbowbrite.net/multimedia.html).

When are you going to the book sale?

Actually, I just got back. But they're having a clear-out sale on Sunday, so --

They didn't have very much in art or media, though. And I already bought all the comics and Star Wars q-:

Oh, don't be sad! I probably will at least stop by on Sunday, if you wants to tag along. There were a *lot* of books there; I didn't get a chance to look at them all.
