Okay, this may not seem like a natural for this recs set, because as far as it's ever possible to tell with an RPF fandom where people play "themselves", Ryan and Shane are actual best friends both on and off camera.

But! With a fandom like this I'm always in it for the in-show canon, and Buzzfeed Unsolved: Supernatural is, in essence, a ghost-hunting show that sets up Ryan (believer) and Shane (skeptic) as equal and opposite, each trying to prove the other wrong. Despite a long time interest in skepticism and the supernatural, pretty much every other ghost hunter show has annoyed the crap out of me, because they don't get that balance right. They seem to think the point of the show is to scare you into thinking there's a real ghost. Unsolved understands that the actual point of the show is the dynamic between the two of them, and the balance where they both respect each other deeply and respect each other's need to hold their beliefs without for one second being ready to give any ground on who is objectively correct, and they can bicker and banter their way through every single haunted house.

Also, there's the bit where Ryan is a (theoretical) Catholic who is terrified of demons in particular, and Shane is actually a demon in disguise as a human, whose skepticism is just a facade. That's also a bit of enemyslash dynamic there.

And there's the bit where Ryan took one two many risks with the supernatural and somehow ended up partially possessed by the spirit of an old-timey murderer named Ricky Goldsworth who occasionally comes out when Ryan's not paying attention. So you have to be careful.
