OK I will confess: this is a fandom I never really found my feet in. It's by the author of the novel of Modao Zushi (back when I first started reading MDZS there was little enough fic that I wandered over there, believe it or not.) I have not read it because I felt like I needed a better grounding in Chinese webnovel tropes first in order to understand what it was parodying, but I think I have picked up the basics from the fic?

It's about a man who was addicted to pornographic online novels (relatable) and was particularly obsessed with this particularly terrible one about a hunky Destined Hero who went around saving the world, having a lot of poorly-justified tropey sex, and building a massive harem. Then the man dies suddenly when reading, and wakes up in the body of a character in the novel. Unfortunately, it's the body of the evil lord who tormented the hero throughout his childhood and is later horribly killed by him. Our Hero has to figure out how to save himself from this terrible fate - without throwing the general course of events too badly off, or acting remarkably out of character, or he'll face a different terrible fate. He settles on just not being a dick to the hero. Unfortunately, he overshoots, and the hero falls madly in love with him instead.

Later there's a subplot wherein the original author of the terrible novel also gets transmigrated in. As far as I can tell his main dilemma is that when he was writing the book, he wrote the Great And Terrible Ice Demon Lord to be his perfect man, and now that the Great And Terrible Ice Demon Lord has met him, he? might have to actually follow through??

So there is definitely some enemyslash stuff in here but it's. Kind of a mess to figure out *where*? And I haven't really read enough fic to really know what is going on in the English fandom for it either. But here are some fics that I read? And like? So, uh, I suspect either you know this fandom or you deliberately avoid it, at this point. But it's basically sitting there waving around a lure flag for enemyslashers. Like the one-line summary is "a generation's most notorious evil sorcerer is brought back from the dead and must find redemption with the help of his high school sweetheart". Then there's the B-pairing which is "his sister finds love with her arranged fiance even though he despises the idea of the match and their families are at odds" and the C-pairing which is "his brother is sweet on the only surviving member of the enemy clan who massacred his clan", and the long digression into "murderous psychopath becomes obsessed with literal saint, builds elaborate gaslighting fake relationship with him." And that's just the canon ones!

So anyway I am kind of spoiled for choice here, and I could probably do a whole recs series of just enemyslash-themed MXTX fic. But I do have an absolute favorite enemyship in this fandom, and it is Jiang Cheng/Lan Wangji. Their hate is just so pure. It makes absolutely no sense to anyone other than them, and if they actually attempted to talk like reasonable people ever they could probably sort it out, but they both looked at each other and thought, "we both need to hate somebody with all our hearts right now, and we can't fix anything but we can be that for each other" and so they did. For fifteen years. And it was pure and petty and beautiful. (I mean sure they could have actually confronted their real feelings and dealt with their mutual grief in a healthy way, but why do that when you could instead put that passion into hating the only other person still alive who loves him the way you do?*)

Anyway I missed yesterday because I was trying to track down one specific JC/LWJ hatesex fic and kept getting frustrated, and I think that's because I had mentally combined several others.
