OMG, con.txt starts tomorrow!
....crap crap crap con.txt starts tomorrow.
I will not mention the number of things that still need to be done, because it's just embarrassing.
However: I am commuting from home, carpooling with![[profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/user.png)
erin_ptah, and should get there sometime before 11 AM tomorrow, will be staying around at least until after the dance, and then back early the next day, etc.
If you are going and would like to find me, tomorrow is cosplay day, and I will be dressed as Miss Madelyn Mack, Detective. :D In an actual, non-reproduction, period black dress, so you will probably be able to pick me out of the crowd.
Rough schedule for the weekend:
Friday
Before 10 AM: arrive, register, put Daleklings in the art show, dump stuff on swap table.
10 AM: Con.txt context
11 AM, 12 AM: Lunch, probably in the consweet, free time, possibly wandering in and out of panel rooms.
1 PM: I'm moderating 'What We Talk About When We Talk About Slash Fandom',. ...have just noticed that the panel discussion on the website is entirely different from the one I based my notes on. Oops!
2 PM: Co-modding 'Fanmixes and Mashups'
3 PM: Probably attending the Crackfic panel
4 PM: I WANT TO GO TO ALL THREE OF THESE PANELS.
5 PM: 'Star Trek Beyond The Shows', one I propsed.
6-8 PM: Dinner, hanging out, probably trying desperately to finish the Ducks panel prep.
8-12 PM: Party like it's 1899!
12 PM: Home, sleep like a dead person.
Saturday
Before 10 AM: Arrive
10 AM: Desperately finish Ducks panel prep.
11 AM: Moderating Ducks panel.
12 PM: Lunch (possibly withstarlady?)
1 PM: Attend the Fanlore panel
2 PM: Maybe the AUs panel, maybe actually just hang out for awhile
3 PM: I WANT TO GO TO ALL THREE OF THESE PANELS.
4 PM: I *should* go to the vidding panel. I *want* to go to the Daring Young Men panel, and then subvert it so we spend the whole hour talking about Daring Young (and Old) Women.
5-8 PM: Eat, hang out, probably find some place to curl up in a corner and sleep for a bit...
8-10 PM: Vid show, quiet room
10-11 PM: Games
Then home, and sleep like a dead person.
Sunday:
Before 10 AM: Arrive
10 AM: Art auction, try not to die while waiting to see if my stuff sells.
11 AM: Co-moderating 'Copyright and Copyleft' panel
12 PM: We <3 the BBC, proposed by me. Try not to spend whole panel talking about the joys of watching BBC Parliament and DemocracyLive
1 PM: Building an Active Community, proposed by me
2 PM: Moderating Procrastinators' Party
3 PM: Dead Duck
Then home, and collapse.
...all of that could change if there is actual unstructured socializing or going out for meals with people or something. I understand some people actually go to cons and spend *most* of their time doing that, rather than being in panel rooms? Huh.
