It would be the best show ever.

Fun party game induced by end-of-year stress!

If all the fandoms you're currently excited by were *one* fandom, what would it be?

Mine would be a retelling of Arthurian mythology where they're ninjas.
Arthurian time-travelling ninjas.
Arthurian time-travelling superhero ninjas.
Arthurian time-travelling superhero ninjas who are pundits. And get gay married (and secret yuletide fandom).

Here's the three-sentence summary pitch: "Your Daily Awesome" is an hour-long comedy/drama series heavily influenced by Arthurian mythology, superhero comics, and other archetypals stories of our culture. Arthur Pendragon and Merlin Emrys are best friends and the hip and happenin' young hosts of New York City's latest comedy news show, but as the genius scion of the city's wealthiest family, and a mystic ninja who has spent the last fifty years frozen inside a tree, they have secret alternate lives saving the world from conservative politics and shadowy threats, with the help of alien allies and the time machine built for the "news from the past" segment on their show. Focusing on themes of personal responsibility and power in a changing world, the show contrasts broad world- and time- spanning themes and locations with a deep look at the complicated but enduring bonds between our heroes.

The end.

(Bonus points if you guess all the fandoms. Especially the sekrit yuletide one.)

What's your one fandom? :D

Hmmm... *ponders how to mix her fandoms*

Got it. :D

It would be a reality show about a group of Power Rangers who are both police officers and Shinigami. They would lead lives of high drama, including the death of at least one semi-important character every sweeps period. And they would ballroom dance on the side as a hobby.

I have only the vaguest knowledge of any of those fandoms, but I have to say, a show about Power Ranger shinigami with ballroom dancing sounds *pretty damn awesome*. I would watch it!

ME TOO. :D

It was hard to think of a way to combine Power Rangers S.P.D., Bleach, Desperate Housewives and Dancing with the Stars, but that would be a beyond epic show.

A cane-wielding doctor with a bad attitude who can manipulate the elements and convince the King of England to divorce his Spanish princess and marry him instead. He ends up getting his head chopped off, but it turns out he's really just a dream of the Fayth anyway. Woo!

Warrior-monks with laser swords wander a gorgeous fantasy world modeled on ancient Japan, righting wrongs and pursuing a shadowy evil. It turns out they're a remnant population seeded by aliens millennia ago, and are now being manipulated by a different alien race who has the goal of bringing them into a greater galactic society. ...Um, occasionally a British guy shows up in a blue box and helps out.

In a double twist, it is revealed that the entire thing is a giant virtual reality game, and the audience is left wondering which of the characters are humans and which are computer programs, and if it even makes a difference.

(Star Wars, Okami, GURPS Space and GURPS Transhuman Space, The Culture, three guesses on the blue box one :P, Ghost in the Shell)

That sounds like the BEST SHOW EVAR OMG.

Joss Whedon would eat that up with a spoon.

Two angsty brothers fight monsters in an awesome time-travelling airship that's bigger on the inside. One of them was sent to prison in a malevolent, trap-filled castle for a murder he didn't commit, and now he solves crime with Buddhism. The other uses elemental magic he learned at a school of magic in a less malevolent but still trap-filled castle. At the end of each episode, Sylar kills one of the Starks. Fortunately, DEATH TALKS LIKE THIS.

There is copious mad science everywhere. Some of it is pink. Some of it is steampunky. Some of it is musical. Much of it is just silly.

(Okay, I'm not still hugely excited by Heroes, but it was too ridiculous to leave out. ...I can't believe I just combined Dean Winchester, Tarvek, and Charlie Crews.)
