100 days of enemy recs: 30. Han/Lando
Ah, Han/Lando. Another one of those pairings that everybody is vaguely aware of, and yet nobody writes. It is a travesty and an injustice that this has not been one of the largest slash pairings since about 1981. The dynamic between Han and Lando in ESB? Where they don't trust each other a bit (for good reason) and yet they utterly trust each other (for good reason)? Where Han hasn't seen Lando in probably years and they parted on fairly bad terms and yet the minute he sees his name he knows that's a place where he can go? Where every time Han runs into Lando he doesn't know if he's going to get kissed or punched and isn't sure which he'd prefer? Where Lando betrays Han to the Empire without a second thought and also betrays the Empire for Han without a second thought? It's all so good.
The only thing you can possibly have to say against this pairing is that Lando deserves better, and this is true, but so does Leia, and at least if they are metamours they can commiserate about their shared terrible taste in men and impeccable taste in everything else.
