1. I posted another request for recs at [community profile] fictional_fans - this time specifically asking for fanfic sex scenes that you think are good enough to use as a model to learn from. With bonus "thoughts on yaoi" in the comments! (for obvious nsfw reasons I may be later on comment replies on that one.)

2. I think I may actually have my yuletide letter and requests and stuff all done in advance this year? WHAT IS THIS WIZARDRY. I have three definites + about five "if it's in the tagsets". If the right things get in, I think I may end up with a theme this year of "six requests in six different media" (book, podcast, TV show, mythology, video game, comic). That would be interesting. (O

3. I am TOTALLY going to the cat show this weekend, because sometimes you just have to accept who you are and lean into it.

4. I still go to pinboard.in/popular/fandom fairly often these days when I need something to read. It's not as good as del.icio.us was by a long shot - not enough users, not flexible enough search - but the fandom page still usually has at least one fic I'm interested in reading. Because of pinboard's user profile, though, the fic recs are mixed in with all sorts of other longreads from all over the web (usually with a computer/science/social justice/lefty politics bent.) This mix creates an interesting effect, though, where sometimes you see a link and go "ooh, that sounds like an interesting fic-- oh wait" -- or "ooh, that sounds like an interesting article!-- oh wait." So here is a Fun Poll for you, based on the items currently on the page.

Poll #20468 The pinboard.in/popular/fandom Game

probably not on demand, although maybe if it was the only possible route to treats!

she would ace the string-carrying competition though.

Hee, I use that page to find fic too so unfortunately I know too many to take the poll, but it's still fun :)

I got a bunch right!....and missed about just as many, LOL. I am now intrigued by both "Pyeongchang and Prejudice" and "How Bucky Barnes Became The Sock Fairy."
peoriapeoriawhereart: blond and brunet men peer intently (Napoleon & Illya peer)

I read the socks.

Marvel the Knitting seems to be a thing.
peoriapeoriawhereart: very British officer in sweater (Brigader gets the job done)

I can't think of any knitting in the books I read when smaller even still; Asimov wasn't much into textiles iirc (which is dicey considering Foundation Four.) And passage of time.
