Mr. Trash Wheel Sluices The Blues (3510 words) by Anonymous

Mr. Trash Wheel said nothing, but his water wheel continued to rotate with thoughtful slowness, and his enormous googly eyes were soft and sympathetic.

Of course, that might have been the bourbon talking.

Beyond that, what was supposed to be a relaxing-yet-productive Christmas Day has become a lay-on-the-couch, watch-the-fire-crackle, obsessively-track-your-kudos Christmas Day. But that's the true spirit of the Yuletide season, right?
