Would you perhaps be interested in nominating some spaceships? I've an urge for Juno, Rosetta, and Philae, and I highly appreciate the contortions they had to go through to get a name as awesome as OSIRIS-REx.

Yes, only if I'm nominating spaceships I want New Horizons and NEAR-Shoemaker and possibly Voyager II on the list, so that makes it difficult. :P (Rosetta is so cute though.)

D'you know if anyone's settled on a fandom name for space/space probes/space rpf yet this year or if it's come up on any of the nom planning posts?

I haven't seen it, but I haven't been looking that hard, so might have missed it. I'm tempted to go with Spacecraft Anthro or whatnot, but I think the more general Solar System Anthro works better? If someone nominates the Mars rovers, I think it would be nice to have all the space craft together, but I can see why someone would want to separate out the planets from the machines, but also why people would a++++ want new horizons/pluto/charon.

Actually, I suddenly want Planet 9/Mike Brown unrequited fic, with Pluto flouncing off with a KBO, which probably means I should quietly remove myself from the internet before I do something rash to my yuletide nom :P

Yeah I always want to mix Space Robots/Astronomy RPF/Solar System Anthro together in my prompts but it's never worked out for YT noms.
