Weekend Plans!

Tomorrow, I will be at The National Book Festival on the National Mall! In the rain!!

There's nothing particularly I need to schedule around this year (except the Librarything Meetup at 2 pm at the NMNH) so if anyone is going to be around and want to meet up, leave me a comment and I'll give you my cell number.

Sunday I will be at the Baltimore Comic-con, spending most of the time being eye candy at the Interrobang Studios booth. Come say hi! (They will be there without me on Saturday, too.)

(Interrobang Studios re-opens this month!)

You planning to camp at Mom's all weekend?

(Think it would be okay for me to park my car at Blue's all day Sunday?)

Yep!

...there are four of Kevin's friends crashing here for the con; there will be no room for me to *sleep*. I will probably be going home from the con with them, though, unless you wanted to come hang out a bit, or unless I don't fit in Kevin's car.

Blue wouldn't mind aboutt car, but her apartment people are fascists and she doesn't have a permit, so that plan is probably not worky.

Well, I want to drive up there and park somewhere in Bmore as opposed to parking at Cromwell Station, as I think it will save me time getting home (unless bmore traffic is going to be sucky in general tomorrow night) ... I suppose if her apt won't work I can look for a garage close to the convention center that is cheap. Blerg. (I was assuming we'd hang at Blue's post-con, actually; if everyone's going back to your place instead though I might have time to come with, since the con ends at 5, and then Bmore parking wouldn't be an issue.) Also, THERE SHOULD BE DINNER. Meh. We'll figure it out.

Oh, the natural history museum is having a giant opening ceremony tomorrow for their YAY OCEANS exhibit, so it will probably be horrifically crowded. I think I pick the Freer/Sackler galleries if we have time for museuming. :D

Also, I Have Decreed that we're watching the TDS/TCR reruns followed by debate tonight, and the next-to-last Fivey serial tomorrow night after NBF. yes? yes.

Bowie recommends one of the hotels near the convention center for parking; Sarah recommends taking the light rail. (I suppose we could park at a much *closer* light rail station than Cromwell...)

Kevin's guest-type people will need to get back here so they can drive home for Monday (and they don't know Blue) so it seems unlikely that there will be hanging at Blue's, though you totally could without us.

Yay art galleries! Have been craving good old-fashioned gallery visit for ages!

..can I watch dS instead of debate? Debate is depressing. (So is next to last Fivey serial, aktully.)

It depends on what the post-con plan is! If we're doing stuff in Bmore I want to park there; if we're not, I agree with Sarah vs. light rail. I just want to be on the road towards VA by 8ish.

Debate might be EXCITING! ... except apparently MSNBC finally separated Keith and Tweety, so maybe not as exciting as it could have been, alas.

But, but I need to finish watching Five!

Am leaving work now! Still need to throw stuff in bag and feed kitties, so might be quite late, but will do whatever possible to arrive at Mom's by 8 as stupid rainstorm took out channel 45 last night, as usual.

I may be late-ish, too, as there's still tons of preparey is stuff to do here and I have to make a few stops.
