fear of should

1. I hit level 50 and got Beastmaster and have now rejiggered my Habitica/HabitRPG lists to make it harder. Hopefully not harder to get stuff done, but to make the game harder. Part of that was because the kitties are leaving on Friday so all the "keep kitties happy" dailies on the list went away. ;_; Sister is also leaving friday but eh, she is not a kitty.

Anyway it was mostly turning habits into dailies, we'll see if I am crushed under this. Also, "mess around with HabitRPG items" is now a reward I have to pay for with gold. Because there's only so many times to stare at my collection of pixel creatures before it is procrastination for its own sake.

2. One of the new dailies is "comment on a fanwork" which is going to be REALLY HARD, folks, ugh, commenting, so many ways it can go wrong, so perfectly designed to freeze me up. But! various people are talking about an informal commenting bingo challenge, so I am going to do it! Or fail trying! So if I leave a weird awkward comment on your stuff in the next couple weeks, sorry, I am doing my best.

work you bookmarked/rec'd but didn't comment on positive comment on a work you liked but had some issues with in a language other than English work that forever changed your perception of canon 3 works by the same author
somebody's first fanwork that's under 100 hits in the Yuletide bookmarks collection previous comment was over a year ago with more than 5 "additional" tags
by someone who's given you a kudos or a comment this week from Yuletide 2014 ADFADSFLKJ; 2+ responses to the same prompt work you've re-read many many times
work you would have otherwise skipped without reading more than ten years old fic that's over 20k a work by a mod or somebody else who labors behind the scenes an ongoing WIP
positive comment on a work by someone you really don't admire work you've had marked 'to read later' for over a month in Yuletide Madness poetry or filk meta

List I input:

I dooo it is the WORST brainweasel sentiment. Or at least one of them. (Because I also totally know it is a crazy!)

It's so obnoxious, isn't it? All we in general really want to do is tell each other stories and be happy and exchange-y-of-energy about it and then brains make us ridiculous.

I signed up for HabitRPG and even downloaded the app for my phone but I feel like I don't quite understand it, (like what exactly the difference is between a habit and a daily) and consequently I forget to use it, and my little avatar died or lost all its gold or whatever, and probably will do so again soon. Fail, Amadi, fail. Why is this so difficult to me?

On another note, would it be cheesy or defeating the point to run a commenting bingo on a mini-scale? Generating cards for people, etc.?

Ahh thank you. Now I need to go make my dailies into habits and habits into dailies. I had it exactly backwards.

Can I comment here and tell you that I will, officially, not think that you hate all my other stuff if you only comment on 1 thing?

You can even tell me if you prefer that I not reply to your comments, b/c the 1 thing I try very hard to do, is reply to all my comments. =)

Congrats on the Beastmaster. I am only a few mounts away from Mountmaster myself, which has been annoyingly difficult because somehow I seem to find more eggs than food. And that even though I picked a class and my gear tilted for maximum perception. Or maybe it is that they need so much food to grow.

But doesn't food cost gems, i.e. real money, if you want to buy it? I don't think you can get it for gold, same as with the quests for special pets.

Yeah, okay, I've done that, that's not really "buying" food though, imo. I still like the armoire because past a certain point of what you need for the occasional health potion gold isn't good for anything otherwise, so I don't mind reducing it. And I'm not into buying self-created rewards. I find that silly. But the costumes are kind of neat. I like the recent plague doctor one.

Trello wasn't successful in kicking my butt to do things, so I'm trying HabitRPG now... though I don't quite understand the reward system /o\

And that commenting challenge looks nice.

That commenting challenge looks fine. I've never had a problem with commenting, actually; I love leaving them, even when I think what I said sounds stupid. I happily comment on fic I loved. But sometimes I forget to comment on things I just liked or read, and this inspires me to keep going.
