going off in all directions
(I'm pretty sure I've decided what I'm writing for Yuletide! And I'm even pretty enthusiastic about it. Now I just have to sit down and write it. Oh, and do the canon review. This evening I went around the house gathering up all of the things I need to check for canon review, and, guys, this year's stack is even ludicrously higher than last year's, I took a picture. I think I am not going to review it all.)
Most of the rest of the free time has involved getting-ready-for-Christmas stuff (I started the handmade gifts earlier than usual this year, but that just means I was more ambitious) and watching Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes, which is adorable. And also apparently the Star Wars/Avengers crossover I am almost finished writing
Oh, speaking of holiday preparations, Mom ...acquired a little device that works as an electrical tester for Christmas light bulbs and wires. It really is pretty helpful (and the contact on the end is a fairly sensitive electric field detector, which is cool on its own) but I kind of think they could have possibly made some different design choices, overall.

Now I need to go finally reply to feedback on the Big Bang story. So here is a poll, just for fun:
The next story in the "Avengers: One Big Happy Poly Family" continuity that Melannen should finish is:
Clint and Natasha play "Real Interrogation, Fake Interrogation."
14 (38.9%)
Rhodey and Tony demonstrate "What Not To Do In A Non-Primary Relationship."
9 (25.0%)
Steve and Nick go to a nursing home, and Peggy teaches Steve how to dance.
5 (13.9%)
Darcy doesn't want to cause drama, but frankly Mr. Stark is kind of creeptastic and she chooses not to spend time in his space, especially when there is alcohol involved, sorry.
13 (36.1%)
Tony and Steve explore all possible definitions of the phrase "coming out", with some help from Christine Everhart.
7 (19.4%)
Steve dates someone his own age (or, the Steve Rogers/Betty White fic. Only it's now Steve/Ronnie Black because she is too scary to write RPF about.)
10 (27.8%)
Loki decides to seduce Thor's girl's ex, Dr. Don Blake spends a lot of time very confused, and Darcy bakes schadenfreude pie.
6 (16.7%)
Pepper and Bruce and Betty and Tony get married (Tony wears the dress, it was the only way to bargain him out of wearing the armor.)
13 (36.1%)
...and that only includes the stories I have a least a couple hundred words written on already.

Now I know what it's like to snort mulled wine up my nose. That light tester is... really unfortunate.

As for the poll, I had a hard time restraining myself from ticking every box because they all sound interesting, but I thought that might be ... less than helpful.

The poll is non-binding anyway! I am kind of surprised at the one that's consistently been ahead, though.
