Oh noes, LJ is down! Good time to enjoy it here, methinks.
SO, stellar_dust sat me down and forced me to watch the DW season-enders, and I thought things about it.
I've forgotten most of those things, mind, since we stayed up until four in the morning to do it, but hey.
Oh, best thing! The stupid "slow wave" whatsit? It now means that *everyone* on Earth who knows the Doctor and was near a screen at the time of the Dalek attack now has his mobile phone number.
This is the best bit of canon ever. I hope he gets lots and lots of sarky text messages over the next few weeks. And if he smashes his phone Martha will give him a new one with the same number. (If the next season starts with him moping about lonely I will ... sister said I needed to make a Ten icon captioned "I'm BATMAN!". She's probably right.)
On a similar note, I love the way Sarah Jane was so carefully letting the Doctor keep wondering about Luke. You could practically hear him trying to frantically calculate timelines in his head every time she mentioned his age.
...and my subconscious decided, in the four hours I got to sleep after watching it, that the wibbly-wobbly timey-wimey stuff has compensated for Harriet Jones dying at the wrong time by making Donna Noble the PM who led Earth into the great golden age. Indeed.
Although Harriet Jones isn't actually dead: She and the Master started an exclusive Former Prime Ministers Club and he made her a back-up system just like his. (Come on, who else is that obsessed with the Doctor's answering machine??)
Also, I would like to note that my personal fanon about how Time Lords reproduce in nature is now basically canonical, and Donna was right all along about Martian Boy and his weird magic alien sperms, and she def. needs to slap him a good one for that. (My bit about why he's half-human is now even more canon, too. yay! I is right about thingses!)
And Rose's entrance would be much more awesomer if she had materialized holding an electric guitar instead of a giant gun. Just sayin'.
... Yeah, that's about it. Except I was reading a Ten/Ten fic from my catching-up tabs and realized that Blue Ten really needs to go-dimension hopping and pic upJDClone Jack as a companion. It would be win.
It is deeply amusing how I got obsessed with New Who first, but Mom and Sister have now both got more canon than I have. w00t!

FYI, just got this email from Dennis:
"This afternoon, at approximately 5 p.m. (EDT), the Clerk of the House of Representatives will give the first reading of the Article of Impeachment of President George Bush. Article One charges the President with deceiving Congress with fabricated threats of Iraq WMDs to fraudulently obtain support for an authorization of the use of military force against Iraq.
Once the Clerk reads the bill, I will move to refer the bill to the Judiciary Committee for hearings...."
