FREE MAPS!

Offer good until 1:00 only (2.5 hours from now!):

The library has three tables *covered* with old maps they're giving away, everything from just-barely-out-of-date aeronautical charts for the whole US to a 1967 US Army Corps of Engineers 1967 Middle East Breifing Map.

If there's any kind of old maps you want, leave a comment and I'll look for them and even mail them too you free!

Because, MAPS!

(...so not helping my WWI obsession right now.)

ETA: Okay, time's up, I have class. Also my backpack's getting full. I'll put a list up of everything I snarfed and let people who haven't already claim it later tonight. Leftovers become wrapping paper.

Ohmygod. If you're serious about this mailing thing, anything aeronautical and/or old would be awesome.

...do they have any of those Cold War-era maps of Russia?

Yes, at least a couple Russia ones, I think. And yes.

"Anything aeronautical" - they seriously have 2005 FAA low-altitude aeronautical charts of *every quadrangle in the US* and some non-us. Narrow it down a bit. maybe? WAnt something local?

Any quadrangles of New York or New Orleans? (Pre-Katrina, obviously.)

Dammit, now I regret transferring. Maps are dead sexy.
