it's curious, but i have absolutely no urge to speak like that to babies or infants or puppies. Kitties of any age, only. Go figure.

I only talk like that to people when I'm deliberately trying to annoy them with it. So I do it to cats all the time. (Puppies only if they're of a particularly dignified sort. Babies only if they're really getting on my nerves.)
