SMASH!!

Why are Elephants protected and not Lutherans? The number of elephants has tripled in the last six months, but I bet you can't say the same about Lutherans! I feel so unloved. Stephen Colbert, you're on notice!

(Actually, all of Wikipedia is currently locked down. Rarrr! Stephen smash!)

(Mom bought a stack of thirty-year-old comic books while I left her unsupervised last weekend. I think she's still sitting upstairs reading them all.)

(OH! And while I'm being all comics geeky, was there really an episode of B:tAS (or Batman the original TV series) where Catwoman gave Bats mind-control drugs? It seems more like the sort of thing Ivy would do. In fact, I know Ivy did it in the cartoons at least twice. Catwoman more brings to mind bondage and domination, really.)

(On the other hand, it apparently *is* possible to run into a Category One cyclone off Tripoli. Who knew? (Hey, the Pearl had to end up in Denmark *somehow*. q:))

This post is so confusing with no context to it.

What was said on The Colbert Report?

Context is optional! Make up your own!

(Colbert did a segment about Wikipedia in which he mentioned both the Elephants and the Lutherans articles, and encouraged people to go and increase the overall truthiness of Wikipedia.)

(The last two bits are references to last week's episode of SGA and to PotC:DMC respectively, and have nothing whatsoever to do with the Colbert Report.)

(And I've been up since 5:30 yesterday morning. It all made sense to me! :)

I just went through the entire episode guide on TV.com, because I thought I too remembered an episode which fits that description, but I can't find it.

Goddamn I need to buy those DVDs. It's perfectly disgraceful that they've been out for two years and I haven't picked them up yet.

I just found another site for the original Adam West series, and apparently there was an episode where Catwoman gave Robin a "cataphrenic" drug that brainwashed him, and another one where she hypnotized him with a pendulum, but apparently she never actually used it on Batman.

I guess that would be more "The Batman TV show" to them than the Animated Series, if they're mid-thirties-is it's what would've been around when they were little (Well, that and the 1970s cartoon, whcih I know nothing about.) Especially if they're not geeky enough to have watched the 1990s series after they were already growed up, which hurts my little geek-loving heart.

Hee! Yes. I was thoroughly amused that Stephen slashdotted Wikipedia. (Really. "The Colbert Report" entry was completely down for at least several minutes.) Wheee!

Excellent icon, btw.

Thank you! Stephen has superpowers, truly.

On Notice, indeed. He basically advocated vandalism of articles.

/is a little peeved by Mr. Colbert.
