it's later than you think

Today was a very nice day outside, wasn't it? *ruffles today's hair affectionately*

Now, to pray that my dinner hasn't exploded, and yesterday's Boston Legal and today's Bones and some lj time.

ETA: Nope, it exploded. Curse you, Mr. Microwave! *shakes fist*

ETA2: Okay, so that 'last week on Boston Legal' montage - did that have *any* purpose except highlighting the Denny/Alan scene at the beginning of the new episode?

On the other hand, *'ships Alan/Shirley like mad* It's curious the way that male characters perving over older women seems to be a marker of a certain type of moral ambiguity (usually coupled, of course, with some sort of gender ambiguity) in today's media. Not sure where I'm going with that, except, hmm, interesting.

ETA3: Zack and Booth are so very cute with their manly bonding rituals. I think if I get my hair cut shorter (although I'm currently not planning to) I think I'll ask for it to look like Zack's.

Let me know if that showed up. If it does I'll post the others the same way.

I looked him up on Amazon, I guess he writes kids books? "Giant lizards having an unreported jam session on late nite TV" sounds like the kind of book I would've (and likely should've) read when I was 11.

Nope, it's still giving me 403 forbidden. Are you sure you have the privacy settings right?

Pinkwater writes children's and YA novels, and also does commentary on NPR and adult humor writing. All his Ya novels are wonderfully good and wonderfully wacky; I discovered them at about age ten and they changed my life. Seriously.

I had them set for all LJ friends, but I reset them for public view. If that doesn't work I'll either email them or catch you on IM if you're on later tonight.

Next time I go to the library I'll see if any of his books are there.

I see them now! Eee, cool! Just what they needed.

Glad you like. :)

I've got an idea for one more. I'm acker787 on yahoo and AIM (although I'm usually invisible there), drop me a line if you want to help with it.

I did one more. I drew a quick sketch (http://pics.livejournal.com/kidzero/pic/000w7edy) a couple weeks ago, but I couldn't get to Kinko's to scan it until today (and that turned into an adventure in itself).

Needs work, but I think it's a good start.
