I went book-shopping again today, and found another one of my textbooks. It looks like the others are all going to have to be ordered online. Blech. And my Borders gift card isn't working either. But the book-shopping was fun. The book exchange has a sucky graphic novels section, so I stopped in at the local indepedent place and theirs was much the same, so I didn't buy anything. And then I wandered by the comic book shop a few times and was too chicken to go in. I don't know *why* I'm scared of going into comic book stores, or maybe I do; it's like I really *want* to belong in places like that, but I'm afraid I won't, and yeah, I know in my *head* that it's not like there are dragons which will bite my head off if I'm not sufficiently polite, but I'm still chicken.

So I decided instead to try to find the used bookstore. Unfortunately all I know about the used bookstore is that it's somewhere on Rhode Island Avenue, and all I know about Rhode Island Avenue is that it crosses 193 at some point. But I did eventually find Rhode Island Avenue and walked up and down it for a ways, but then it started getting dark, and then it started snowing, because I'd totally forgotten that it was supposed to snow tonight, so I turned back. But it was a nice afternoon for a long walk, anyway, even in the snow, and Route 1 was looking as pretty as it's possible for Route 1 to look.

And then I came home and watched the new episodes of JLU and Teen Titans, which were yay, and made myself couscous with strawberry jam on it for dinner. When I was a latchkey kid for that one semester I would make myself couscous and watch Batman Beyond. Yay Old!Bruce! Yay Terry! Yay!

Yes. So a good day. But pretty much any day which in which I spend more time as Frodo climbing Mount Doom than as Sparrowhawk chasing his own shadow is a good day.
