In other news, I've learned that despite the fact I've done no programming at all, really, for about five years, I can still pick up a new scripting language in one night. ph34r my new layout!

Speaking of abusing my new powers, my friendsfriends list seems to include every single person on lj. Or close enough, anyway. :stares at flist: ya'll know some strange people, yo.

tmi_chix - I've learned more about my body in one month reading this than in six years of living with it. But when it says 'TMI' it *means* it; I'm not sure I'd like to come across it first thing in the morning.
colorandpattern, texture, color_theory - because they are often stunningly beautiful. But I have nothing to contribute, so I shall just stop by whenever the world starts looking ugly.
mundungus - always interesting, in a very serene way, but once again nothing to add.
metaquotes - For the funny. But I don't need it flooding my flist; my friends are funny enough on their own.
nocturne_alley, nraged, thatwasthen, twits - Well, because. But I don't care to friend all the players and I don't want spoilers on my flist.
pottersues and marysues - browsed for the sheer trainwreck value. And I don't mean the fanfic links, either.
pornish_pixies - invite-only short hp adult slash. They totally blew me away by inviting me, since I've only written one piece that fits the criteria. It must be better than I thought it was. I was afraid it would flood my list, not as if I don't already have lots of hp slash on it, but it seems to be quieting down . . and my word is it *good stuff*.
crack_van - Speaking of good stuff-- for recs in those fandoms I don't really follow. You know, x-men and xf and sw and st and . . . but I really, really don't need it delivered to my list every day.
agentsands - Because I refuse to admit I'm in the fandom when I haven't even seen the darn movie yet. *muttermutter*

There's something that just feels so grown-up, double entendres aside, about sucking on a lollipop.

I think it might have something to do with cigarettes. You know, I'm smart and coordinated enough to fiddle with this thing in my mouth and do other stuff at the same time, I'm confident enough to do something in public that an inferior person would consider disgusting. Plus you really do feel like the Marlboro Man, and the rush gives you energy, and the bonus of everybody knowing you're not stupid enough to smoke.

A lollipop in my mouth, and I can do *anything*.

Now, to just break the habit of twisting the sticks off and chewing on them.
