I've realized today that in less than a year, I will have to vote in the Democratic primaries, and as a good American citizen I'll have to start paying attention to politics. Which by dint of great effort I've managed to ignore ever since that whole Afganistan kerfluffle.
This will be the first election I'm voting in which I'll actually have to judge and make a descision. Maryland midterms didn't count; the Democrats put up such a horrible attempt at a campaign that all I could really do was vote against the Republicans. Well, the Republicans and Willy Don.
I am so nervous. One day of net-research puts Dean, Kerry, and Edwards on my short list. But this is based mostly on unreasoning prejudices. *wibbles* I really don't want to start having to pay attention to news.
. . . would listening to "wait wait don't tell me" once a week count as being an informed citizen, you think?
