All Hallows!

This is me, [journalfen.net profile] lindentreeisle, and [journalfen.net profile] kyabetsu trick-or-treating! We were spinking.

(I am the baby spink. They are the momma spinks. Until we traded costumes partway through.)

Then we wheeled and dealed over our candy (of which there was lots!) and now we are preparing to start NaNo in an hour! (Yay NaNo!)

ETA: 2,000 words! 2,000 words of utter crap, but it's prologue, and that's always utter crap anyway. But it's done!

OH, those came out awesome! Spinks are so HAPPY! :D

psst, did you try logging in to the family pics at my gallery yet? It's working for me, but Uncle Ken's having issues.

It's also apparently fine for Marian. It's just him then! Go over there and explain how to use a computer. ;D

I know not what those are, but I like the costumes. I think I may try an umbrella-based costume next year.

They are spinks! That's all you need to know. That's all *we* know, actually. :D

We came up with a whole list of other umbrella-based possibilites, though. If I get an earlier start next year I'm totally going to be a jellyfish.

How does the umbrella stay up?

One of them is mounted inside a backpack, the other one (worn by someone too zaftig for the umbrella to sit that far back) was mounted on a hat. :D

Those are... those are awesome. I was going to be a renfaire demon lady until I lost my demon horns, but if I was walking down a block and saw that coming towards me, I think I would die laughing. And someone would take my candy.

The best part was when I got to watch them proceeding up these little narrow pathways alongside hedges on the way to people's doors. Spink invasion!

Although I will say, I was never worried about people not seeing us on the street. :D

I saw them and went AWWW. And then I thought about how creepy it would be if all three of you just stood around going :D and NOT. SAYING. ANYTHING.

"Happy Halloween?"

:D

"...so, I'll get the candy!"

:D

"...um. You like Snickers?"

:D

That's what spinks are supposed to do, but alas, we're all well-brought-up young ladies, so we couldn't not say please and thank you.

When I was wearing the spink suit, though, I did go to a couple houses and just stuff the candy right in my maw! :D People were amused. (The mouths were open at the bottom for ventilation.)

Yeah, I always made sure to thank people and wish them a happy Halloween. Even the obnoxious church ladies who were all "Aren't you a little old to be trick-or-treating?" And the random creepy boob-staring guy.

Apparently this was unusual, because most of the kids didn't even bother with "Trick or treat!"

Aaaaaw! Cutest umbrella monster ever! I love the tiny t-rex arms.
