I am an oscar meyer weiner, and I wouldn't wish it on anybody else.

weight that I will put on driver's license 125 lbs, jean size 6, chapters of fic read 9 (v. good), current cash reserves $6.25, seconds since last checked lj friendslist 382,198 (v. v. good), times read bridget jones 2.

Picked up Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason at the church flea market Friday night. Am v. v. ashamed as am not that kind of girl, but was v. difficult to put down, even if there is far too little Mr. Darcy. It's about four years since it was popular, so that puts me right on schedule for getting around to reading it.

Also at church bazaar started crocheting a Möbius scarf with Fibonacci stripes. Also difficult to put down, which is very bad as I pulled something in my wrist last week and repetitive motion is not making it happy, but I must. . . do . . one. . . more . . . row.

Other things worth speaking of. Visited [livejournal.com profile] kiswara and [livejournal.com profile] phantomcat a few days ago with [livejournal.com profile] stellar_dust. We had lunch buffet at a very nice Indian place in Columbia, where I drank fresh mango juice (no goldfish nibbling at my toes, though). Then we went back to the apartment [livejournal.com profile] phantomcat in which is staying and formed a beautiful quartet of trombone, hammer dulcimer, homemade slide digeridoo, maraca eggs, and soda straw. And played DDR and read the Pressed Fairy Book (which was not nearly as gruesome but much more racy than I had expected) and similar fun things.

Some other day went to see a movie at the scary egyptian tomb with sister and [livejournal.com profile] night_daughter. Wore my one pair of actual jeans which I keep only to see if I still fit in them. (I do). Had lunch at the cajun carry-out at the food court which surprised me by being quite good and saw Riddick, which was among the stupidest movies I've ever seen but was marginally pretty.

Other than that, have been mostly being x-phileish with [livejournal.com profile] stellar_dust. Vidded with her last night and have watched many episodes with her and with Mom. Also saw Shrek 2 with Pop-pop and his girl. And saw Cousin Gracie who is crawling now and Cousin Sammy who will be very surprised when he gets a little sister in a year or two.

Aunt Carolyn and Uncle Larry arrived from Ohio this afternoon. They and Mom spent the first forty-five minutes after their arrival critiquing various funerals they've attended in the past few months. *sigh*. We will be doing touristy stuff with them tomorrow at least, I guess, and after [livejournal.com profile] stellar_dust goes back to North Dakota they are apparently going to take Mom and myself for a weekend in Atlantic City and force us to gamble. So I need to get my over-21 license sometime in the next three days and, to go all Bridgetty again, I am totally without a wearable swimsuit so I will probably end up in Mom's 1976 Mathlete t-shirt and a wrap skirt I inherited from Grandma again if we do any boardwalk walking. I'm going to bring my Set deck and plenty of reading material.

Anyway. I have simply had no *time* to get online lately, but when I start having long, involved slash dreams about fandoms I don't even *read*, withdrawal symptoms are clearly setting in, so I snuck downstairs to try to catch up a bit.

You more-or-less described just about every action flick I've ever seen... -_-;

The highest grossing movie theater in the country!

I had something I thought was funny to say here, but it seemed stupider all three times I re-typed it. Still, sounds nice.

Fun, fun, fun~~!
ext_1512: (no!)

Let's run away to Atlantic City, sea and salty air ...
