Good news: The optical mineralogy midterm today was not painful. I actually had a clue what I was doing!
Bad news: Does not mean I actually did well on it.
Good news: I remembered how to pitch Dad's old pup tent, and it's still in good shape.
Bad news: The twine for the poles is off wherever the original stakes are. I wonder where on campus I can buy twine on short notice.
Good news: It's supposed to be really lovely weather for our two-day geology field trip over the weekend.
Bad news: I have to get up at 5:30 tomorrow for the two-day trip, and will have no free time 'till Monday afternoon.
