So I was going to remember to actually watch SPN tonight, but considering we're like ten minutes in and I've already hit embarrassment-squick-mute three times, I think I'll just wait 'till Sam shows up again. Maybe. Or just read fic instead.

Meanwhile, Halloween plans have officially fallen apart. Must find a plan B.

I voted for pirate, but I don't know what your OCs are like; it helps if they're a recognizable trope as well. Once I ended up as an OC sort of by accident when my mad scientist costume required a nametag. (I got the labcoat from American Science & Surplus and it had the name of a birth control medicine on the pocket, so.)

Well, when I do a recognizable-trope character, it usually ends up being an OC anyway, because I'm incapable of not coming up with a story to go with it. But if I do a standing OC, it would probably be recognizable as vaguely sword-and-sorcery, depending on how much effort I put in.

I think that would probably work, then. (The advantage with pirate costumes, of course, is that they're just easier to find the parts for, but.)

Pirate costume is basically "Hi! I have lots of loosely-fitting, mismatched, very worn out and vaguely anachronistic clothes. With shiny. And a *really cool hat*."

The problem with me doing a pirate costume is that people who know me in RL don't realize I'm in costume. :D
