I was *not* the one who softlinked mincing to PotC. The fact that I was planning to is irrelevant, as somebody else got there first. :P
I'm just updating to say that I have nothing to say, which is really a very strange state for me. Usually I am bubbling over with nonsense and am merely either too lazy, too busy, or too shy to actually type it up. But at the moment I'm not busy, have actually been writing both fics and essays, and am quite full of ideas and confidence, I just suddenly have no motivation to share them with anyone. It is very odd. I was tempted by my flist to post a long spiel on human sexuality across cultures, but was unable to build up the motivation to actually say anything.
I think I shall go color now.
Oh, while we're on the subject of foppishness: Which King of France was it who was famous for his "lace-trimmed tigresses" and penchant for dressing in women's clothing at balls? I remember reading a contemporary quote along the lines of "it was difficult to tell whether he was a man-queen or woman-king." But Google is giving me nicht naught nothing. Something is telling me it was one of the Henris- Henri II maybe? Arrr. Shall bother me forever.
Edit: Also, what is the name of the submarine in Baltimore Harbor? The one with the shark teeth? It starts with a "T", and then my mind automatically fills in "Tardis". *headdesk*.

It's just that I don't have any firm deadlines or tests or anything until next tuesday, so am *feeling* as if I have free time.
That sounds more like it

As far as the foppish French King, I have no idea, and I'm not finding any good sites on French royalty right off the bat..

Yeah, I ran into the same problem with the French royalty. May actually have to hit the library if it keeps bugging me . . .
(I like the icon too. Thanks. Very tempted to braid my hair down again; too bad it's almost winter.)

*giggles* Great minds must think alike. *giggles more* So now, when you look up "mincing" in the dictionary, there's a picture of Jack Sparrow (or near enough).
