gip.

               Look, look,
I've a new icon. It's an image
taken on our travels, two toiling
beetles and a ball, boldly building
edifices in the desert. Deep indeed,
I think, anyway: It means, actually,
first and foremost, I've found (in a fountain)
my scanner cord, which kept me from capturing
pictures to proudly post, publically,
upon the internet. I hope I'll soon
end my waiting, the webpage as well
I'll air out, update.
                        Also, as always,
dung beetles, bearing their burden
as the dung they roll, represent rebirth
and the rising of the sun. A symbol of new
days and new beginnings, being as a new
year's come, classes start
tomorrow at eight, I've moved
upstairs into an open room,
in the old dorm, with dormer windows
and unbunked beds.
                             But the beetles
are better symbols, since, in crap
they incubate, creating new
life from putrid piles of sh!t
as I should learn.

Also, the icon is fine. That's what it really looked like. ambiguous is fun.

Also, I get a behind the scenes tour of the meteorite labs at the smithsonian! Nyah nyah!

Oh, I also think your picture could use some enhancement; now that I know what it's supposed to be, I can kind of tell, but not really. The background's too washed out - hence it looks like a tree branch in snow, when I assume it's actually the ground - and the front of the dung ball is too dark, hence I thought it was a bird. Just letting you know. (;

Sorry to butt-in, but I have to agree. Before I actually read the post, I thought it was an owl facing away from the camera.
