Fun with canon ships!

We're going camping, Point Lookout near St. Marys. I plan not to look at a computer till Sunday night.
All the same, researching a paper on open source was an interesting experience. I've been completely outside any minor pretensions to hacker culture (well, except for e2 and certain comic strips) for over a year now, and I kept running across sites labelled "All slash, all the time!" or reading Eric Raymond discussing snark and the proper care and feeding of betas, and doing double-takes.
Good example of culture and coding, that. :') Too bad the prof is completely innocent of both hackerdom and fanfic. *sigh*
