I think the thing that aggravated me more than anything else about the movie - which I did enjoy, although you're right, it wasn't Trek - was: they confirmed Kirk's acting captaincy when he is a THIRD YEAR CADET. What the fucking fuck, people, SERIOUSLY. This Starfleet MAKES NO SENSE.
