I've seen the whole show now, and Sophie is actually growing on me a lot. I think it's as we get more of her interacting comfortably with the team (and especially with Maggie and Parker!), and taking on some of Nate's responsibilities, I'm starting to really feel her. She's as good a leader as Nate, but where Nate likes to show off, she really seems to *love* teaching, and I *like* her when she's teaching. And there's a point somewhere in the season where her focus on Nate changes from "when are you going to commit to a relationship?" to "dry out, you sad sack, before you get us all killed," (a point that flies right over Nate's head) and that really makes it a lot easier to empathize with her.
It's true, though - that's all team-interaction stuff; I still don't find her on the job very interesting. But the fact that I have such contradictory reactions to her actually has me thinking thinky thoughts about how being an undercover worker has shaped the way she relates. I think if I end up writing Leverage fic at this point, it'll actually be about Sophie, even though she's the only one I didn't fall for right off!
