I am not sure if it started with Camilla or if I was idly thinking about Muppets fancasts (as you do), stumbled onto it early, and that's what made me realize it was worth continuing. But Camilla was definitely the perfect fancast that made me stick with it!

(Why is everybody calling it a joke? :P Look, name a Muppet Show Muppet who would make a better all-around cavalier than Camilla. You can't, can you. And Gonzo and Palamedes both share the very important attributes of being too smart for their own good and having a tendency to blow themselves up, in which case, Camilla has got to be Camilla.)
