I sometimes talk about fics set in "The Greater Cascadia/Seacouver Metropolitan area" and people understand me, but I don't think it ever caught on. :D XF/HL/dS/Sentinel + FK, SG1, and TNG as occasional guest stars were indeed the Superwholock of our generation, weren't they?
There's actually relatively few references in fic to how things actually were when Krycek was Mulder's FBI partner. Usually Mulder will scream something about betrayal and then punch him. But even after rereading a bunch of fic for this recs set, I can't remember how long that phase even lasted.
(He does lose an arm eventually, but it's iffy whether that shows up in the older fic or not, since a lot of it was written before it was confirmed that he lost it.)
