I can see the appeal of, like, a story where somebody he can't make himself be mean with gently doms him into submission, self-love, and the concept of a healthy relationship, but that wouldn't work with his secretary! Because she's his secretary so there's power issues built in that make it fucked up! (I have enjoyed fics where she *platonically* gently doms him into taking care of himself though.)
