Most people who read the book tend to come away with blasphemous church sanctuary sex, if nothing else! (Unfortunately Father Pierre was pretty comprehensibly terrible, he's the one who deserved what the Inquisition did to him if anyone ever did, so I can't really ship it, but at least Beatrice de Planissoles was pretty awesome and got to live more or less happily ever after he dropped her.)
