Happy March the Eleventh, everyone! The start of the northern-hemisphere-spring fannish holiday season!

Meanwhile, y'all are enablers, so I now have the week of the June full moon off (for maximum light - camping in Iceland has spoiled me when it comes to summer light.) Have also bought an electric coffee/spice grinder at the thrift store, since that seems to be the recommended way to make rockahominy.

It is amazing how much it helps to have a Thing That Is Scheduled to look forward to, though.

Also I went to a cat show again yesterday and got a chance to run a very good cat through the practice agility course. That helped too!

Only three days to Pi Day!

Oh, I was going to see if you wanted to camp with me at that wedding I'm going to in July that's at a campground! I just haven't ... got my summer in order enough yet, and also I haven't got an official invitation yet ....

That's fine, work schedules are also a mess, so planning ahead for much else for me is not really happening at this point either.

Agility cats, hee!

Cat agility is so great because instead of winning based on form or speed, like with dogs, cats mainly win based on "what percentage of the course did they feel like doing today".

(tbf, it's a very young sport, so most of the cats haven't trained very hard. :D)

I love the agility cat! So fluffy! So uninterested in the actual course! Also I watched that and about a half hour later my brain went, oh, eye of the TIGER because CATS ha ha ha

The one they were letting random passers-by work with was SUPER into the course and would in fact complain if you tried to slow down or take a break! She did occasionally decide it was time to go backwards though and you just had to run with it.

There was one cat we were watching who would run up the stairstep obstacle and then lay down on top and try to go to sleep. :D
