I don't know if there's one on just that, but there should be! I actually got that from an author talk I went to where she was using that as an example of "things there are actual historical sources for, but nobody will believe them if you use them in srs historical fiction." I've read some stuff recently in archaeology news linkspams about Pompeiian street food, though - there's stuff out there.
But basically any modern urban convenience we have that isn't 100% tied to modern technology (and some that are) was a thing they more-or-less had in 1st century Rome and Alexandria. It's just all the general 'daily life' sources focus on Rome and/or Alexandria and occasionally Londinium and all the Jerusalem sources focus on things that are very specific to Jerusalem, so if you're trying to write someone in Jerusalem who isn't interested in the Jerusalem-specific stuff, it's hard to know what generalizes.
