Math is a language and I took a weaving class specifically because I was early in my anthropology courses. The art majors seemed to think that was a weird reason to give. Later I got to explain to a history professor (he did appreciate these little nuggets) why old cloth was the width it was. He did teach American Industrialization, but was limited to steam powered looms.

The division came from sheer time constraints and people with limited capital needing to keep boilers from bursting before they could learn Latin.

Civics and civil engineering should be contained by the same body.
