I was deeply and perhaps weirdly (but hey it worked) affected in how I think about "STEAM" type stuff long before we even came up with the idea of the acronym when my (somewhat autie, very acidic, I hearted him but have always been afraid he just found me annoying) mediaeval history prof (of many very detailed high level seminars) pointed out that properly all knowledge is Humanities and that science and math are absolutely humanities, it's all natural philosophy, the division has been absurd since it started.

It's weird that THAT was the thing, maybe, that made my little historian brain go "OH" but it worked!
