Hmm, it sounds like maybe not. I only like out-of-context showtunes if they're supposed to be out of context (like the old ones that are designed as radio hits) or if they're from musicals I know (which stops at about 2002) or if they're very carefully put in the *wrong* context (I used to have a lot of fun piecing together songs from various musicals to make an entirely different musical, helped by the fact I can't tell voices apart either - I spent a long time not realizing Marius had *two* girlfriends in Les Mis) but that doesn't sound like what that is.
