#3 is--oh, man--I'm so glad I bought that manga for our library system. I read vol. 1 and LOLed 4 times by the time I got halfway through--decided legions of teens would adore it. And I love your description that Our Hero is in the midst of a Hyperbole and a Half cartoon--very apt! Also, the Superhero trope, yeah. You could write for animenewsnetwork!
