ellen_fremedon: overlapping pages from Beowulf manuscript, one with a large rubric, on a maroon ground (Default)

One of the few perks of my hell commute last year was that the 60 to 90 minutes each way gave me time to read a lot of books. My new commute is half an hour, half of that on foot; I'm suddenly having to make time to read, and it's hard. (Especially hard because I'm actually doing serious editing again, all day, and it's going to take me a while to regain my ability to read for pleasure; I keep picking up books and putting them down because all I can see is the commas and the subordinating conjunctions.)
