Well, "help the wives escape", in terms of wider strategic value, isn't really that great a way to spark a revolution.
It's a super-great way to get Joe REALLY INCANDESCENTLY ANGRY such that he makes stupid decisions, though. So yeah. I suspect the plan was actually for her to be left behind (possibly in prison, from which she would immediately escape) and lead a takeover of the Citadel while he was gone. Or get killed and spark the revolution as a martyr. She probably did not at all expect to be taken along in the pursuit. So matters at the Citadel are probably currently not as well-organized as she would prefer. ^_^
And that stilt people shot was so awesome and it definitely reminded me of the darker storts of Muppets. (So did the gang in the rocks! That's where the Fraggles were filmed, right?)
