I read an interview with Lana Wachowski where she said that in her opinion the reason why recently so many SF/fantasy movies are sequels/remakes/adaptions/reboots (she mentioned Avatar as a rare exception) is because people in general, including people in the movie industry, wanted more security after 9/11. I never thought about that connection, but it sounds plausible.

I have soo many questions about Kiza. I didn't pay much attention to her when watching the movie and I'm looking forward to seeing her on DVD.
