I firmly believe that once we get the tech and legal/ethical framework to make transhumanism really viable, the first thing we will do is make catboys and catgirls and dog people. Seriously that does not need explaining, it's, like, fundamental deep down in the human psyche, one of the first known pieces of art is of a catboy.
