People get so distracted by silly things (SPLICED WITH A BEEEEEEE) they forget that "hey, so we CAN do the thing, who wants to see what happens?" is true in science as well as in movie brainstorming and is totally the logical end result of high-end magitech. That's practically hard-SF psychology.
